Our Products

Studio Tsubo empowers Urban Gardeners and Aquascapers by merging ancient ceramic traditions with a modern pipeline. Leveraging digital worldbuilding, we utilize 3D modeling and custom 3D printed tools to craft one-of-a-kind sculptural vessels that offer tangible benefits to micro-ecosystems.

Our unique presses and tools turn unglazed, naturally stained ceramic into deeply textured, high-porosity surfaces designed specifically to host microbial colonies. For the aquatic hobbyist, this results in biological filtration where beneficial bacteria thrive directly on the artwork, promoting superior water quality and ecological balance.

For terrestrial enthusiasts, our workflow enables the creation of complex environments with multiple planting beds, encouraging diverse growth in restricted urban spaces. The synthesis of storytelling, ceramic tradition and technology aimed directly at promoting human, plant and animal life celebrates the synergy between philosophy, art, science, and nature.

Founders

Studio Tsubo was founded by Lyndon Sumner and Lorrie Cardoso. Together the couple distills their backgrounds in creative direction, design, project management, and community engagement through the arts into a shared creative company. They've recently traded their lives in the city for the wilds of the Oregon Coast and a life in pursuit of making life better through art and nature.

Ly leads the company vision and creative direction with a maker's spirit, designing, engineering and fabricating all products himself. Lo leads business development, public relations and social media as Producer and Communications Manager.
